Pauline is also the author of BabyFat: Adventures in Motherhood, Muffin Tops, & Trying to Stay Sane.  It is a no-holds barred memoir of a mom who was “lost in the muffin top . . . of weight loss plans, attempted (and failed) exercise programs, and a singular focus on the scale.” The author shares her raw stories that are honest, humorous, and relatable.

Let’s face it, motherhood changes our bodies, and instead of loving those “babyfat bodies,” we are socialized into believing they are ugly, shameful, and BAD.

Exercise is a good thing, so is eating healthy. But far better is accepting our new, bigger, wider, softer mom selves, selves that create and love and nourish. Read more here.

More about Pauline: Pauline Campos is also a blogger, photographer, public speaker, and body image/mental health activist who generally gets stabby when she runs out of reasons to bitch. This probably explains why she’s trying to raise her daughter to be a Chingona on purpose.

She’s a self-described, life-long recovering bulimic and is certain ADHD is her superpower. Her Spanish sucks but she rolls the R when she says the word “three,” and she wonders why no one else chews their ice cream.

Pauline lives in Maine with The Husband, their daughter, and three rescue dogs. Oh, and typos are her Kryptonite. Find her at aspiringmama.

Please note: any purchase you make will benefit the author-artist Pauline Campos and her family of three.

Before you go, can you share the love! Please post to Facebook, tweet on Twitter, and or pin Pinterest! You will make A LOT OF MOMS happy this Christmas, and Hanukkah too!

Lisa Nolan is the editor of several mom lit anthologies including the newly released Mom for the Holidays: Stories of Love, Laughter, and Tantrums at Christmas and Hanukkah.
